SMYAL has its 14th annual Fall Brunch on Sunday at the Mandarin Oriental (1330 Maryland Ave., S.W.) on Sunday starting at 11 a.m. with a reception and silent auction followed by the brunch program at 12:30 p.m.
SMYAL, now in its 27th year, is a Washington-based organization solely dedicated to supporting LGBT youth.
Openly gay actor Nicholas Rodriguez (“One Life to Live”) will receive an award. Channel 4 anchor Wendy Riger emcees.
Tickets are $150 each and can be purchased online. The money earned from the brunch will go toward funding the various programs SYMAL runs to help LGBT youth.
