Baltimore preps for Creating Change
The 24th National Conference on LGBT Equality: Creating Change is coming to Baltimore, Jan. 25–29. NAACP President Benjamin Jealous is the keynote speaker for the conference that is billed as “the premier annual organizing and skills-building event for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and their allies.” Approximately 2,500 attendees are expected.
Organizers are seeking volunteers and community-based housing for out-of-town visitors.
Look for coverage from the Washington Blade over the weekend, including the annual ‘State of the Movement’ address, given by National Gay and Lesbian Task Force Executive Director Rea Carey.
