Gay & Lesbian Activists Alliance distributed its 2010 Distinguished Service Awards on Tuesday “to local individuals and organizations that have served the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community in the national capital area.” The awards were presented at GLAA’s 39th Anniversary Reception, which was held at the Washington Plaza Hotel. Honorees included Lou Chibbaro, Jr. of the Washington Blade and LGBT life photographer Joan E. Biron (JEB).

JR.’s Bar held a “RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars” watch party followed by a live drag show on Friday, July 17. The Vitamin C weekly drag show was hosted by Citrine with performers Brooke N Hyman and Rosie Beret.
