Women in the Life sponsor final event at the Loft
Women in the Life sponsored the final “First Friday” event at the Loft at the Warehouse (4th and Penn streets, N.E. off New York Avenue) on Friday, July 1. The Women in the Life events had catered to lesbian women of color for the last 18 years.

A “No Kings” demonstration was held in Anacostia on Saturday to protest the Trump administration. Speakers at the rally included LGBTQ activist, Rayceen Pendarvis. Following the rally, demonstrators marched across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge.
