Newly-formed business network holds event in Baltimore

The Maryland Corporate Council, a newly-formed corporate and business network of LGBT and straight ally professionals, held its official launch event at the Hotel Monaco in Baltimore on Thursday, Jan. 19. Speakers included Howard County Executive Ken Ulman, Equality Maryland Board Chair Lisa Polyak and Legg Mason President & CEO Mark Fetting.

The March for Drag was held on Saturday, March 8. Local drag artists and supporters gathered at Washington Circle for a rally to advocate for trans rights, queer art, artistic expression and free speech. Participants then marched to the Kennedy Center.

The 43rd annual Queen of Hearts drag pageant was held at The Lodge in Boonsboro, Md. on Friday, Feb. 21. Five contestants vied for the title of Queen of Hearts 2025, and Dee Dee Dereon won the crown.
