GLCCB seeks development director

The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Community Center of Baltimore and Maryland (GLCCB), an equal opportunity employer, has posted a job opening for director of development, which is the chief development officer for the organization. The director of development directs the fundraising and development department in establishing and conducting programs to ensure both the short-term and long-term financial health of the GLCCB.

The director will be responsible for the oversight, planning, and execution of a comprehensive annual development program with ambitions to grow from its current level of $250,000 to $1 million by 2016, as well as preparation of the organization for an upcoming campaign.

Some of the duties include: achieving fundraising goals and strategically growing fundraising capacity and achieving targets set by the executive director and board of directors; designing, implementing and managing all fundraising activities including individual giving (including direct mail, monthly giving and CFC/workplace giving and corporate match), major gifts, planned giving, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants and gift acknowledgement; managing all strategies and activities for donor cultivation, solicitation and relations for all categories of gifts.
