Perry to play two nights at Verizon Center
Hit maker celebrating ‘Prismatic World Tour’

Pop star Katy Perry brings her “Prismatic World Tour” with opening act Capital Cities to the Verizon Center for a two-night event Tuesday and Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The tour supports her third and latest album “PRISM” that has hit singles “Roar” and “Dark Horse.” Perry, who has 11 Grammy nominations, became a breakout star with her first single “I Kissed a Girl” in 2008. She went on to release her second album “Teenage Dream” that led to five No. 1 singles including “California Gurls” and “Teenage Dream.”

Ashley Biden accepts award for Beau Biden at annual Rehoboth fundraiser
The 19th annual Blade Foundation Summer Kickoff Party was held on Friday, May 15 at Diego’s in Rehoboth Beach, Del. An award presentation was held for former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden. Ashley Biden accepted the award on her brother’s behalf and gave remarks. Other speakers included Delaware state Rep. Claire Snyder-Hall, CAMP Rehoboth Executive Director Dr. Robin Brennan and Washington Blade Editor Kevin Naff. The event was a fundraiser for the Steve Elkins Memorial Fellowship in Journalism.
