‘Queen Henry’ author to address PFLAG
Queen Henry, gay news, Washington Blade

‘Queen Henry’ tells the fictional story of a homophobic baseball player from the Baltimore Orioles.

Baseball is still a few months away, but author Linda Fausnet will be talking baseball and a fictional gay Baltimore Oriole at the next general meeting of PFLAG-Westminster on Jan. 18.  Fausnet, an LGBT ally who lives in Westminster with her husband and two children, will discuss her book “Queen Henry,” which was published last July.

The novel tells the fictional story of a homophobic baseball player from the Baltimore Orioles who took a drug for asthma treatment that mysteriously transformed him into a gay man.  It provides the hero with an opportunity to see how it is to be gay where he finds love but must, at the same time, endure homophobia. All proceeds from the book go to the Harvey Milk Foundation.

The meeting will take place from 5-7 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 17 Bond St. in Westminster. For more information, visit pflagwcc.org.
