‘Heartbeats’ gets ‘Twisted’

A Drag Salute to the Divas celebrates its third anniversary at the Howard Theatre (620 T St., N.W.) on Monday, Aug. 17 at 8 p.m.

Drag performer Shi-Queeta-Lee presents “The Heartbeats Twisted Lip-Synced Stage Play.” The play is also directed by Shi-Queeta-Lee. It tells the story of five black lesbians who perform as a music group in the ‘60s and encounter obstacles along the way. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 day of show. There will also be a full dinner menu available.
