FreeState Legal and Equality Maryland will host a series of listening sessions across the state of Maryland.

Following the announcement last month that Maryland’s statewide LGBT policy and legal advocacy organizations are merging to form a statewide political and legal advocacy organization on behalf of the LGBTQ communities in Maryland, FreeState Legal and Equality Maryland will host a series of listening sessions across the state of Maryland. These listening sessions will be an opportunity for community members to engage directly with organizational leaders around the issues that matter most to them, and help FreeState Legal/Equality Maryland shape its vision.

The first such session that had been scheduled at the PFLAG Columbia-Howard County general meeting on Feb. 9 was postponed because of snow. It has been rescheduled for April 12.

Other sessions have been scheduled for Wyes Mill (Feb. 23), Salisbury (March 8), and Frederick (March 15).

For more information and to schedule an event in your community, contact Saida Agostini at sagostini@freestatelegal.org.
