NEW YORK — Immigration Equality on Feb. 29 announced that Aaron C. Morris will become the organization’s next executive director.
Morris, who has been with the organization since 2008, will succeed former Executive Director Caroline Dessert.
“The board is grateful to Cara for her passion and service,” said Randy Feuerstein, chair of Immigration Equality’s board of directors, in a press release. “The decision to transition leadership was mutual and amicable.”
“Aaron is a strong and strategic leader who has been a core member of the Immigration Equality team for years,” added Feuerstein. “He has a deep and abiding commitment to the organization and the clients we serve.”
Dessert in the same press release also applauded Morris.
“Having worked very closely with Aaron, I know that he is incredibly committed to the communities Immigration Equality serves and the work the organization does,” said Dessert. “I am so proud of all of the things we have accomplished at Immigration Equality, and I know that I am leaving the organization in very capable hands.”
Immigration Equality was founded in 1994.
