The third annual Northern Virginia Pride Festival was held at Bull Run Special Events Center in Centreville, Va. on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016. Performers included Goodnite Neverland, Coco Wilson, Carrie Monroe and the comic Chelsea Shorte.

Denali (@denalifoxx) of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” performed at Pitchers DC on April 9 for the Thirst Trap Thursday drag show. Other performers included Cake Pop!, Brooke N Hymen, Stacy Monique-Max and Silver Ware Sidora.

A “No Kings” demonstration was held in Anacostia on Saturday to protest the Trump administration. Speakers at the rally included LGBTQ activist, Rayceen Pendarvis. Following the rally, demonstrators marched across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge.
