Disney launches first LGBT Pride collection

The line includes T-shirts, fanny packs and more

Disney has released the Rainbow Mickey Collection, its first ever LGBT Pride collection.

The company announced in honor of Pride month that it plans to donate 10 percent of online sales from the collection to GLSEN through June 30.

Items in the collection include Rainbow Mickey Collection Travel Pack ($19.95), Rainbow Mickey Collection Hat ($19.95), The Rainbow Mickey Collection Sunglasses ($17.95), Rainbow Mickey Collection Fitted Tank Top for Adults ($24.95), Rainbow Mickey Collection Tank Top for Adults ($24.95), The Rainbow Mickey Collection T-Shirt for Adults ($29.95), Rainbow Mickey Collection Stainless Steel Water Bottle ($16.95), Rainbow Mickey Collection Pin Set ($16.95), The Rainbow Mickey Ear Hat ($17.99), Mickey Mouse Rainbow Icon Pin ($12.99) and the Mickey Mouse Rainbow Standing Pin ($9.99).

Disney also unveiled its new rainbow Minnie Mouse ears which will be available for purchase at Disney parks.

Disney also recently released gay Pride Mickey Mouse ears for purchase in its parks in honor of Pride month.

The 19th annual Blade Foundation Summer Kickoff Party was held on Friday, May 15 at Diego’s in Rehoboth Beach, Del. An award presentation was held for former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden. Ashley Biden accepted the award on her brother’s behalf and gave remarks. Other speakers included Delaware state Rep. Claire Snyder-Hall, CAMP Rehoboth Executive Director Dr. Robin Brennan and Washington Blade Editor Kevin Naff. The event was a fundraiser for the Steve Elkins Memorial Fellowship in Journalism.
