Friday, July 1

Friday Tea Time and social hour for Older LGBTQ+ adults will be at 2 p.m. on Zoom. Feel free to bring your beverage of choice. For the Zoom link or more information, contact Justin at [email protected].

SaintFridays DC will be at 1 p.m. at Saint Yves. Guests are encouraged to bring friends and dance the night away. There will be music from live DJs including the best of the ‘90s, afrobeats, R&B, hip-hop, dancehall and more. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased on Eventbrite

Saturday, July 2

LGBTQ People of Color Support Group will be at 1 p.m. on Zoom. This peer support group is an outlet for LGBTQ People of Color to come together and talk about anything affecting them in a space that strives to be safe and judgment free. For more information, email [email protected].  

NoireNights will be at 9 p.m. at Lost Society. Guests are encouraged to come enjoy an experience of non-stop music, dancing, and good vibes. A variety of genres will be played including Afrobeats, hip-hop and soca. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased on Eventbrite.

Sunday, July 3

GoGay DC will host LGBTQ+ Coffee Mixer at 12 p.m. at As You Are. This event is for those trying to meet new faces in the LGBTQ community after two years of the pandemic not allowing it. This event is free and more details are available on Eventbrite.

Yappy Day Party with DJ MIM will be at 1 p.m. at Metrobar DC. DJ MIM will be setting springtime vibes with great music for this gathering of members of the LGBTQ community. This event is free and more details are available on Eventbrite

Monday, July 4

Center Aging Coffee Drop-In will be at 10 a.m. at the DC Center for the LGBT Community and online on Zoom. LGBT Older Adults — and friends — are invited to enjoy friendly conversations and to discuss any issues you might be dealing with. For more information, visit the Center Aging’s Facebook or Twitter

Not Another Drag Show will be at 8 p.m. at DuPont Italian Kitchen. This event will be hosted by Logan Stone and will also feature a rotating cast of local performers. This event is free and details are available on Eventbrite.

Center Aging: Women’s Discussion & Social Group will be at 6 p.m. on Zoom. This group is a place where older LGBTQ+ women can meet and socialize with one another. Wednesday, July 6

Job Club will be at 6 p.m. in-person at the DC Center for the LGBT Community and online on Zoom. The Job Club is a weekly job support program to help job entrants and seekers, including the long-term unemployed, improve self-confidence, motivation, resilience and productivity for effective job searches and networking — allowing participants to move away from being merely “applicants.”

BookMen DC will be at 7:30 p.m. on Zoom. BookMen DC is an informal group of men who are interested in fiction and non-fiction gay literature. For more information, visit BookMen’s website.

The DC Center’s Food Pantry Program will be held all day at the DC Center for the LGBT Community. To be fair with who is receiving boxes, the program is moving to a lottery system. People will be informed on Wednesday at 5 p.m. if they are picked to receive a produce box. No proof of residency or income is required. Go Gay DC will host “Out in DC LGBTQ+ Community Social” at 7 p.m. at Hotel Zena.This is a chance to relax, make new friends, and enjoy happy hour specials at this classic retro venue. Attendance is free and more details are available on Eventbrite

Women in their Twenties and Thirties will meet at 8 p.m. on Zoom. This is a social discussion group for queer women in the Washington, D.C. area. For more details, visit Facebook.

The DC LGBTQ+ Community Center will host screenings of “Princess Sparkles” and “Kiloran Bay” at 1:30 p.m. “Kiloran Bay” is a 13-minute musical short set amid the wild beauty of the Scottish Hebrides and the fierce joy of a wedding cèilidh. “Princess Sparkles” is about a girl who accidentally signs up to pet-sit a princess only to discover she’s actually a nippy, Fox News-watching pig. Center Bi Pan+ Roundtable will be at 7 p.m. on Zoom. This is an opportunity for people to gather in order to discuss issues related to bisexuality or as Bi individuals in a private setting. Visit Facebook or Meetup for more information.

The DC LGBTQ+ Community Center will host “Movement for Healing” at 3 p.m. This trauma- and yoga therapy–informed class is designed to help guests gently reconnect with their body and their breath. Through mindful movement, somatic awareness, and grounding practices, guests will explore how to release tension, increase mobility, and cultivate a deeper sense of safety and ease within. We have been invited to visit Hyatt Centric Arlington, where we will gather in a reserved section of their lounge. Attendees will be greeted by members of the Go Gay DC Leadership Team & receive a name tag upon arrival. This event is ideal for meeting new folks, making new friends, community-building, or just to unwind and enjoy the atmosphere. Casual attire is perfectly fine.
