Olympic diver Tom Daley and screenwriter Dustin Lance Black announced the birth of their son Robbie Ray over the weekend. This is the couple’s first child together.
They both shared the news on Instagram that their son was born on Wednesday via surrogate.
“Welcome to the world our precious little Robbie Ray Black-Daley,” Daley captioned a photo of the baby’s feet. “The most magical moment of my life. The amount of love and joy you have brought into our life is immeasurable. Our precious son.”
Black posted a photo of the couple holding their son’s head captioned, “Welcome to the world little Robbie Ray. Thank you for bringing so much love and light with you. And thank you to those who helped turn our dream of having a family into this wonderful reality.”
Their son is reportedly named after Daley’s late father who died from a brain tumor in 2011.
Daley and Black revealed they were expecting their first child via surrogate in February. The couple wed in 2017.
