Caitlyn Jenner told the L.A. Times that she plans to vote Republican in 2016, following a denied request to attend Saturday’s Democratic debate in Des Moines, Iowa.
According to the Times, Jenner, who was a Drake Relays champion in 1976, was at Drake University visiting the campus while filming her reality show “I Am Cait.” She requested a ticket to the debates also taking place at Drake University and her request was denied.
CBS News President David Rhodes told the L.A. Times the decision was logistical, not personal.
“Our person told her person that we don’t have any tickets left, which happens to be factual,” Rhodes said.
Jenner told the L.A. Times that after watching the debates, on television, she still planned to vote Republican.
“They didn’t convince me,” Jenner said.
