Apple introduces Pride watch face and watch band

Apple introduced its new rainbow watch face and matching rainbow watch band in celebration of Pride month on Monday.

The watch face shows a rainbow animation and is available for Apple Watch owners to download starting Monday. The animation is interactive and users can strum the strings like a guitar.

There is also a matching rainbow band with a white background and rainbow stripes on top. Apple released a rainbow watch band last year but the limited edition band was taken off the market in September.

It’s unknown if the new rainbow bands will also be limited edition.

The rainbow bands are available for purchase at the Apple Store for $49.

The annual CAMP Rehoboth fundraiser, SUNFESTIVAL, was held over Labor Day weekend in Rehoboth Beach, Del. The festival included a massive dance party at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center on Sunday.

Rehoboth Mayor-elect Susan Stewart will speak at the Blade Foundation fundraiser on Sept. 12.

The Washington Blade Foundation will host a fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 12 in Rehoboth Beach featuring remarks from Rehoboth’s Mayor-elect Susan Stewart and Delaware state Rep. Claire Snyder-Hall.

The Foundation funds fellowships for aspiring queer journalists and enterprise journalism projects.

The event will be held at a private home in Rehoboth. Tickets are $100 and include open bar from Diego’s, catered appetizers from the Blue Moon, entertainment, guest speakers, and an auction. Tickets are available here.
