The Mautner Project held its 20th anniversary gala March 20 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel. Hundreds of supporters mingled, bid on auction items to benefit Mautner and danced until midnight. Presenters included Mautner co-founder Susan Hester; Dr. Linda Spooner, chairperson of the Mautner Project’s board of directors; event co-chair Glen Ackerman; and Leslie Calman, the Mautner Project’s executive director. Award recipients included Bet Mishpachah; Lisa Sherman, executive vice-president of Logo; Laura Hart as volunteer of the year; and Dr. Judy Bradford of the Fenway Institute.

BERLIN — The Washington Blade was on assignment in Hungary, Poland, and Germany from April 2-16.
The Blade interviewed LGBTQ activists, government officials, and refugees from Ukraine who have resettled in Berlin and in Warsaw, the Polish capital. The Blade also visited Auschwitz in Oświęcim, Poland.

Eight contestants vied for Mr., Miss and Mx. Capital Pride 2024 at a pageant at Penn Social on Saturday. Xander Childs Valentino was crowned Mr. Capital Pride, Dylan B. Dickherson White was crowned Mx. Capital Pride and Sasha Adams Sanchez was crowned Miss Capital Pride.
