No Justice No Pride, working with other community partners, held the ‘DC Pride2020 March+Caravan’ on Saturday with a call to defund the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department. Following a rally at Jessup Blair Park, activists marched through the streets of the Colonial Village neighborhood to the house of District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser where they held a dance party and peaceful protest. A protest was held outside of the White House on Saturday following the killing of Renee Nicole Good by a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in Minneapolis. Across the Potomac, picketers held signs calling for “Justice for Renee” in Tysons, Va.

Demonstrations were held in cities and towns across the country, according to multiple reports. A march was held yesterday in Washington, D.C., as the Blade reported. Further demonstrations are planned for tomorrow.
