SisterSpace hosts black LGBT authors

SisterSpace and Books presents a panel with author Aaron Anson and Aisha Karefa, niece of the late James Baldwin, at the Island Cafe (829 Upshur St., N.W.) tonight from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Anson will be discussing his book and memoir, “Mind Your Own Life,” which started out as a journal and eventually developed into a book. Karefa will be talking about her uncle and the film, “All God’s Children.”

Rev. Rainey Cheeks and other ministers will also be present to discuss their churches.
