Metro D.C. PFLAG celebrates its 30th year with a Penthouse Cocktail Party on Wednesday night at the Penthouse Pool Club and Lounge (1612 U St., NW) starting at 6 p.m.

The party celebrates the beginning of the Washington, D.C. PFLAG, which launched in 1982 by Paulette and Leo Goodman along with several others. The D.C. group was based on the original New York PFLAG. The party location is usually a membership-based resort, but they are welcoming members of Metro D.C. PFLAG for this one night.

Tickets are $25-$50, while group tickets with other package deals are $1,000-$5,000. Visit pflagdc.org for more information.
