Pink Martini plays on Monday night at Wolf Trap’s Filene Center (1645 Wolftrap Rd., Vienna, V.A.) at 8 p.m.

Thomas Lauderdale founded the orchestral group in 1994 to create a sophisticated blend of politics and entertainment. Pink Martini uses world, jazz, classical and pop sounds in their pieces, along with multilingual vocalists.

Last year, the group teamed up with Japanese singer, Saori Yuki, for their album “1969.” The collaboration went platinum in Japan, and peaked at No. 2 on the Japanese charts.

Admission ranges from $28-45. For more details and to purchase tickets, visit wolftrap.org.
