Kathleen Turner makes singing debut

“Mother Courage and Her Children” starring Kathleen Turner, opens at Arena Stage (1101 6th St., S.W.) tonight at 8 p.m. and runs through March 9.

Mother Courage, played by Turner, struggles to keep her family and business together during the war. The story combines politics and satire while incorporating more than 10 pieces of original music with Turner making her singing debut. Previously Turner performed at Arena in a production of “Red Hot Patriot: The Kick-Ass Wit of Molly Ivins.”
