“Morning, Miranda,” an LGBT-themed play, opens at the Writer’s Center (4508 Bethesda, Md.) tonight at 8 p.m.

Miranda, a lesbian, follows her deceased mother’s last request, which leads to a wild journey, including a love story and a drag queen who is her surrogate parent, cross-country.

Tickets are $20 for general admission and $15 for students, seniors and military. For more details, visit doorwayarts.org.
