As part of the Jewish Community Services parents discussion series, the film “Straightlaced” will be screened Sunday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. at the Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC, 3506 Gwynnbrook Ave. in Owings Mills.
“Straightlaced” is a documentary about gender and the role that it plays in society, specifically for high school students. Through interviews with students who identify as straight, queer, gay, lesbian, transgender, bisexual and gender queer, the documentary explores gender expectations and the impact these expectations are having on all of us.
Following the film, there will be a panel discussion to process audience reactions and also explore questions attendees may have.
The event is free but pre-registration is preferred. To do so, visit jcsbaltimore.org/parenting-series or call 410-500-5371.
