The Team DC Freedom Sports Festival starts Thursday and will continue through July 21. The festival is a multi-sport tournament presented by Team DC to engage more Washingtonians in recreational sports.

The Freedom Sports Festival kicks off on Thursday night with the Champions Awards Dinner at 6:30 p.m. in George Washington University’s City View Room (1957 E St., N.W.). The party includes a dinner buffet, open bar and a silent auction benefiting Team DC’s college scholarship program. Former NFL player Wade Davis will be the guest speaker. Tickets are $45.

Each athletic tournament will take place at George Washington University. The basketball tournaments are from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on July 19, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on July 20. Registration is $60, which includes a $10 donation to the D.C. Sentinels.

Kickball is from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on July 20, and registration is $25. The singles raquetball tournaments are from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on July 20 and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on July 21. Registration is $50.
