Cherry HIV/AIDS charity dance returns
Joe Gauthreaux, Mike Reimer, X Gonzalez among guest DJs
Cherry, a charity dance party weekend featuring numerous DJs, isĀ April 16-19Ā at various locations.
April 16Ā is Thrust at Cobalt (1639 R St., N.W.) fromĀ 10 p.m.-2 a.m.Ā with DJ Kostas. There is an open bar fromĀ 10-11 p.m.
April 17Ā is Gravity at the Howard Theatre (620 T St., N.W.) fromĀ 10 p.m.-4 a.m.Ā Beth Anne Sacks will give a performance and DJ Twin will play music. Admission is $25.
April 18Ā is Moodonna Vol. II at Town (2009 8th St., N.W.) fromĀ 2-7 p.m.Ā with DJ Joe Gauthreaux in a birthday tribute to Dr. Moody Mustafa. Tickets are $25. AlsoĀ April 18Ā is Red Planet fromĀ 11 p.m.- 4 a.m.Ā with DJ Tom Stephan and DJ Mike Reimer. Guests should wear red. Tickets are $15 at the door and $20 in advance.
April 19Ā is Eclipse with DJ Isaac Escalante and DJ X Gonzalez at Tropicalia (2001 14th St., N.W.) fromĀ 3:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m.Ā Tickets are $50. Also onĀ April 19Ā is DJ Benny K and DJ Sean Morris at Flash (645 Florida Ave., N.W.) fromĀ 9 p.m.-2 a.m.Ā Tickets are $10.

āHerses- Purse Frist Extravaganzaā will be on Friday, May 3 at 9 p.m. at 1835 14th St. N.W. This will be an evening of dancing and performances, hosted by HAUS of Bambi Award-winning Performance Artist, BUMPER. Refreshments are also available for purchase.

El Techo will host, in partnership with Cherry Fund, a special edition of āCherry Sundaysā on Sunday, April 7 at 11 a.m.
This event is a one-day fundraising bottomless brunch. There will be performances byĀ Evry Pleasure, Tara Hoot and TrevHER, with DJ Lemz. All tequila shot purchases will be donated to the Cherry Fund.
The Cherry Fund raises money for LGBTQ non-profits whose primary goal is to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS with prevention, treatment and education, and mental health services.
The event costs $45, inclusive of bottomless brunch on margaritas, mimosas, Bloody Marys and Tecates.
Mid-Atlantic Leather Weekend arrives next week with a kickoff event Thursday, Jan. 11 from 10 p.m.-3 a.m. at Bunker.
