WASHINGTON — The Georgetown Business Improvement District kicks off its Healthy Days of Summer in Georgetown series, a free series of outdoor fitness classes, on Monday, the group announced this week.
It includes classes, healthy menus and promotional materials highlighting health and wellness options in Georgetown. The neighborhood’s location along the Potomac River and its city streets and outdoor trails make it an ideal place to get fit, organizers said.
About 40 studios and shops offer yoga, running, cycling, pilates, Crossfit and more.
Sunset Fitness in the Park is a summer-long series of free classes held twice weekly at various locations. Starting Monday and running through Sept. 2, the hour-long sessions begin at 6 p.m. Find the full schedule online at georgetowndc.com/healthydays.
