The LGBT youth organization, Supporting and Mentoring Youth Advocates and Leaders (SMYAL), held its 4th annual ‘SMYAL for the Holidays’ fundraiser at Lost Society on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015.

Denali (@denalifoxx) of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” performed at Pitchers DC on April 9 for the Thirst Trap Thursday drag show. Other performers included Cake Pop!, Brooke N Hymen, Stacy Monique-Max and Silver Ware Sidora.

A “No Kings” demonstration was held in Anacostia on Saturday to protest the Trump administration. Speakers at the rally included LGBTQ activist, Rayceen Pendarvis. Following the rally, demonstrators marched across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge.
