OutWrite Book Festival features LGBT authors

The D.C. Center (2000 14th St., N.W.) begins its the sixth annual OutWrite Book Festival Friday, Aug. 5 at 6:30 p.m. with its Love Unites Us event. The festival will run from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6 and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7.

On Friday night, several authors will reflect on the struggle for the right to marry and the art of storytelling and narrative in activism. Speakers will include Leslie J. Gabel Brett of Lambda Legal, Suzanne B. Goldberg of Columbia Law School, Rebecca King of the National Center for Transgender Equality and many more.
