Trailer for LGBT film ‘Moonlight’ released

The trailer for indie drama “Moonlight” was released last week.
“Moonlight,” directed by Barry Jenkins, is based on the play “In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue” by Tarell McCraney. Set in the backdrop of ’80s Miami, the film tells the story of a gay black man who discovers his sexuality and learns about masculinity in three separate life chapters.
Trevante Rhodes, Naomie Harris, André Holland and Mahershala Ali star. Singer Janelle Monáe also makes her film debut.
The film premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. It opens in a limited release in New York and Los Angeles on Oct. 21.
