Lady Gaga paid tribute to her friend model Rick Genest, also known as Zombie Boy, following news of his apparent suicide on Thursday. He was 32.

According to TMZ, Genest was found dead in his Montreal apartment. Montreal police have ruled his death a suicide.

Genest’s signature look was his heavily tattoed body. He holds the Guinness World Record for the largest number of insects (176), and the number of bones (139) tattooed on his body.

He modeled for French fashion designer Thierry Mugler and Jay-Z’s label Rocawear. Genest was a well-known fashion runway model and appeared in Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” music video.

Lady Gaga honored her friend with Twitter posts bringing awareness to mental health.

“The suicide of friend Rick Genest, Zombie Boy is beyond devastating. We have to work harder to change the culture, bring Mental Health to the forefront and erase the stigma that we can’t talk about it. If you are suffering, call a friend or family today. We must save each other,” Lady Gaga writes.

She added: “Science tells us that it takes 21 days to form a habit, if you are suffering from Mental Health issue I beckon for today to be your first day or a continuation of the work you’ve been doing. Reach out if you’re in pain, and if you know someone who is, reach out to them too.”
