DJ Honey to spin
Tart Queer Dance Party is Nov. 23
The Tart Queer Dance Party, presented by WillCall Events is Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Rock and Roll Hotel (1353 H St., N.E.). Show starts at 10 p.m.
The venue, an ex-funeral parlor turned lounge, features vintage decor, a dance floor and a rooftop bar. DJ Honey spins “tart” beats by Lizzo, Nicki Minaj, Kim Petras and Lady Gaga while drag artists Vagenesis, Desiree Dik, JaxKnife Complex and Washington Heights perform. DJ Honey, known for playing a variety of music including a few classic ‘90s grooves, has mixed beats at the hottest venues in the Philadelphia and D.C. areas. Tickets for this event are $10 in advance or $15 the day of the show.

Capital Pride/World Pride will host Rainbow Masquerade at Hook Hall, a New Year’s Eve party featuring drag shows, silk aerial acts, private lounges and the venue’s Hot Tub Cabana. According to Brandon Bayton, Capital Pride executive producer, “Step into the Fabric of Freedom and toast World Pride 2025 in style—where every moment sparkles, every performance dazzles and every toast makes a difference. It’s going to be an amazing night!”
The party is Tuesday, Dec. 31, 10 p.m.-2 a.m. at Hook Hall, 3400 Georgia Ave., N.W. Proceeds benefit Capital Pride D.C. and tickets are available on Eventbrite.
“Herses- Purse Frist Extravaganza” will be on Friday, May 3 at 9 p.m. at 1835 14th St. N.W. This will be an evening of dancing and performances, hosted by HAUS of Bambi Award-winning Performance Artist, BUMPER. Refreshments are also available for purchase.

El Techo will host, in partnership with Cherry Fund, a special edition of “Cherry Sundays” on Sunday, April 7 at 11 a.m.
This event is a one-day fundraising bottomless brunch. There will be performances by Evry Pleasure, Tara Hoot and TrevHER, with DJ Lemz. All tequila shot purchases will be donated to the Cherry Fund.
The Cherry Fund raises money for LGBTQ non-profits whose primary goal is to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS with prevention, treatment and education, and mental health services.
The event costs $45, inclusive of bottomless brunch on margaritas, mimosas, Bloody Marys and Tecates.
