Jocktoberfest draws eclectic VIP guests
Gay Flag Football event to raise money for Gay Bowl XVI

The D.C. Gay Flag Football League presents Jocktoberfest, a fundraiser for Gay Bowl XVI, at Town (2009 8th St., N.W.) on Thursday, Oct. 1 from 6-9 p.m.
Notable guests include U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin, actress Melissa Fitzgerald, U.S. Reps. David Cicilline, Sean Patrick Maloney, Mark Pocan, Eleanor Holmes Norton and Mark Takano. Former NFL wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth will also make an appearance. VIP hour is from 6-7 p.m. and the main event starts at 7 p.m. Money raised will be used for Gay Bowl XVI.
Tailgater tickets are $50 and include one drink ticket and access to the event. All Star Sponsor tickets are $100 and include two drink tickets and recognition at the event. MVP Sponsor tickets are $500 and include four drink tickets and access to VIP hour. Heisman Sponsor tickets are $1,000 and include open bar on select drinks during VIP hour for you and a guest and a VIP table.

Celebrate the start of Pride month at the Queer Magic Dance Party at the Black Cat on Saturday, June 6. Doors open at 9 p.m.
There will be pole performances and demonstrations, a free photo booth with glitter bar, a queer vendor market, tarot readings by Skye Marinda Tarot, a drag performance by Sapphica, and dancing to a blend of smooth R&B, Afrobeats, hip-hop and pop by Slammer & Saba. Here’s where to watch ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ with fellow fans
Entertainers TrevHER and Grey host event with live performance
Spark Social Events will host “Ru Paul’s Drag Race S18 Watch Party Hosted by Local Drag Queens” on Friday, Jan. 23 at 8 p.m.
Drag entertainers TrevHER and Grey will provide commentary and make live predictions on who’s staying and who’s going home. Stick around after the show for a live drag performance. The watch party will take place on a heated outdoor patio and cozy indoor space.

The DC Center is hosting a watch party for an episode of the 10th and final season of “Queer Eye,” which was filmed in D.C. The screening will be held on Friday, Jan. 23 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Center.
The screening will last 45-55 minutes, with community time both before and after the episode. Drinks and snacks will be provided and organizers promise a “surprise or two.” For information on tickets, visit the DC Center’s website.
