Frank Kameny Way was closed to traffic for community art and culture fair
From Riggs Place to P Street, Frank Kameny Way was closed to traffic for the 17th Street Festival on Saturday, Sept. 25. Members of the community came to see local businesses, artists, performers and politicians. Performers included the Ladies of Town, X Factor and Tom Goss. D.C. Council Chairman Vincent Gray was joined on the stage by openly gay D.C. Councilman David Catania and longtime LGBT civil-rights advocate, Frank Kameny.

Denali (@denalifoxx) of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” performed at Pitchers DC on April 9 for the Thirst Trap Thursday drag show. Other performers included Cake Pop!, Brooke N Hymen, Stacy Monique-Max and Silver Ware Sidora.

A “No Kings” demonstration was held in Anacostia on Saturday to protest the Trump administration. Speakers at the rally included LGBTQ activist, Rayceen Pendarvis. Following the rally, demonstrators marched across the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge.
