José Luis Rodriguez allegedly stabbed his boyfriend’s chihuahua to death in a New York City park last week.

Gay porn star Vin Nolan, real name Randy Capehart, left his dog Buddy under the care of Rodriguez, his boyfriend of 13 years, while he flew to Texas for his grandmother’s funeral.

According to the New York Post, Rodriguez suspected Nolan of cheating and ragefully stabbed Buddy in front of onlookers, including children. The children’s parents called police soon after the incident.

When police arrived, Rodriguez was covered in Buddy’s blood. Nolan told the New York Post detectives called him to let him know Buddy was dead.

“Apparently, my former partner had a psychotic break,” Nolan told the New York Post.

In a Facebook post, Nolan addressed the incident.

“I hope to use this dark time to shine a light on the stigma of mental health and help people get help that someone they know or them themselves that are struggling in silence for fear of judgment,” Nolan wrote in the post.

Rodriguez faces felony charges for aggravated cruelty to an animal, criminal mischief and criminal possession of a weapon.
