Lots of fireworks viewing options available for the 4th

There are lots of places to see great fireworks in D.C. on Tuesday, July 4.

PBS’ “A Capital Fourth” will be on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol (East Capitol St., N.E. and First St., S.E.) from 8-9:30 p.m. Performers include The Beach Boys, the Blues Brothers, Kellie Pickler, the Four Tops, Trace Adkins, Yolanda Adams and many more. John Stamos hosts. The National Mall fireworks begin at 9:09 p.m.

Beacon Bar & Grill (1615 Rhode Island Ave., N.W.) hosts a fireworks viewing party at its Sky Bar from 6-11 p.m. There will be a picnic a la carte menu and signature cocktails. A live DJ will perform all night. Tables are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests must be 21 years of age or older. Tickets are $35. George Washington University’s Theta Tau host a fireworks viewing party on the Mall from 3-11 p.m. The brothers of the Gamma Beta chapter will have sandwiches, soda and water. For more information, visit facebook.com/gwthetatau.

Events: BKE hosts a private fireworks cruise departing from the Georgetown Waterfront (3303 Water St., N.W.) from 7-10 p.m. There will be desserts, a cash bar and a complimentary glass of champagne. Dinner will not be served. Tickets are $90.

Events: BKE will also host a fireworks viewing party not the rooftop of the Cambria Hotel & Suites (899 0 St., N.W.) from 7-10 p.m. There will be an art exhibit featuring fine artist Kamila Kokoszynska as well as additional artists. “Herses- Purse Frist Extravaganza” will be on Friday, May 3 at 9 p.m. at 1835 14th St. N.W. This will be an evening of dancing and performances, hosted by HAUS of Bambi Award-winning Performance Artist, BUMPER. Refreshments are also available for purchase.

Support HIV research with a drag show

Tara Hoot, Evry Pleasure, TrevHER to perform

El Techo will host, in partnership with Cherry Fund, a special edition of “Cherry Sundays” on Sunday, April 7 at 11 a.m. 

This event is a one-day fundraising bottomless brunch. There will be performances by Evry Pleasure, Tara Hoot and TrevHER, with DJ Lemz. All tequila shot purchases will be donated to the Cherry Fund.

The Cherry Fund raises money for LGBTQ non-profits whose primary goal is to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS with prevention, treatment and education, and mental health services.

The event costs $45, inclusive of bottomless brunch on margaritas, mimosas, Bloody Marys and Tecates.
