Katy Perry helped one fan propose to her girlfriend at her concert on National Coming Out Day.
While performing at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., a woman named Katie proposed to her girlfriend Becky on stage.
“You said you had a wish. Well, this is a shooting star,” Perry told the couple pointing at a hanging fake star above their heads.
“Well, I don’t know if you all have seen Becky, but she’s pretty, even without any makeup on,” Katie tells the crowd. “And she’s perfect every time I look at her.”
Katie drops down to one knee and Perry also falls to the floor in excitement.
“Becky, will you marry me?” Katie asks.
“Say yes, Becky, if you want to get married,” Perry screams from the side.
Becky says yes and Katie happily responds, “My wish came true.”
“Katie’s wish came true, everyone,” Perry tells the crowd.
Equality Prince William Pride was held at the Harris Pavilion in Manassas, Va. on Saturday, May 16.
