Lebanese-born celebrity hair stylist Fadi Fawaz, who has been seeing George Michael since the singer’s break up with Kenny Goss earlier this year, has told UK paper The Daily Mail that the ‘Faith’ singer is “improving every day.”

After reports earlier this week that the singer was experiencing severe complications to pneumonia, Michael’s camp is seeking to dispel rumors that the 48 year old singer is in danger of getting worse, despite being in intensive care. The Blade reported this weekend that the Wham! star had been forced to cancel the remainder of his European tour due to his illness.

“There is nothing to be concerned about,” Fawaz told the Daily Mail. “He is doing fine. We are very happy.”

“George Michael has severe community acquired pneumonia and is being treated as an inpatient,” Professor Dr Christoph Zielinski of the Medical University of Vienna told reporters. “His condition has stabilised and he is responding to treatment.”

Other reports that Michael may be battling acute respiratory distress syndrome, or ARDS — which stops oxygen getting into the blood — have not been confirmed by any sources from the hospitals or any of Michael’s representatives.
