The Washington Blade presented the ‘LGBTQ Enterprising Women: Learning from the Past and Embracing the Future’ panel discussion at Keegan Theatre on Wed. Aug. 21 followed by a networking event at Hank’s Cocktail Bar.

Speakers at the panel included Blade Publisher and Owner Lynne Brown, Hank’s Oyster Bar Owner Jamie Leeds, Linder Global Events Owner Rebecca Linder, Tagg Magazine Owner Ebone Bell and Pepco Senior Vice President Melissa Lavinson. The annual CAMP Rehoboth fundraiser, SUNFESTIVAL, was held over Labor Day weekend in Rehoboth Beach, Del. The festival included a massive dance party at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center on Sunday.

The Miss Gay Old Bay pageant was held at The Lodge in Boonsboro, Md. on Friday, Aug. 29. Vanya Varushka was crowned the winner. Glitter Douglas was named first runner-up. Both Varushka and Douglas qualify to compete in the Miss Gay Maryland pageant in October.
