Police Log: September 30
The following incidents were reported to the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Gay & Lesbian Liaison Unit.
On Sept. 25 while in the 300 block of 56th St., N.E., a woman reported that she and a suspect were involved in a verbal argument that turned into a physical assault. The suspect cut the complainant with a knife and was arrested. The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical attention. The victim and suspect live together.
On Sept. 25, a man reported that while walking in the area of 1st and M streets, N.W., three suspects were walking behind him. The victim started to walk faster then ran and the suspects ran after him. When the suspects caught him they punched and kicked him knocking him to the ground. One suspect went through his pocket. Unable to obtain any property, the suspects fled the scene.
On Sept. 23, in the 200 block of 37th St. S.E., a man reported that while at home he found a suspect in his home without his permission. A verbal altercation occurred and a physical fight erupted. The victim reported that the suspect entered his home by a window. The suspect fled the scene after the offense; the two had been involved in a prior relationship.

there was another possible hate-motivated beating of a man late Friday night/early Saturday morning 9/30/11-10/1/11. Is the Gay & Lesbian Liason Unit investigating?
