Police Log: Feb. 17

The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Gay & Lesbian Liaison Unit was involved in the following investigations:

• On Feb. 9, a man reported while in the 5000 block of D Street, S.E., he and a suspect were involved in an argument over their relationship. The argument became violent and the suspect assaulted the victim and was arrested.
• On Feb. 7, a woman reported that she was involved in a verbal dispute with a suspect, an ex-girlfriend. The suspect became violent and struck the victim causing minor injuries. The suspect fled the location prior to the arrival of police. The victim refused medical attention. A report was taken.
• On Feb. 13 in the 1300 block of Alabama Avenue, S.E., a complainant and a suspect were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated when the suspect assaulted the victim by forcefully shoving the victim multiple times. The victim flagged down the police and the suspect was arrested on scene. The two are involved in a domestic relationship.
• On Feb. 13 in the 1600 block of R Street, N.W., police were notified of a disorderly individual inside of a local establishment. While being escorted from the establishment by an officer, the suspect assaulted the officer by striking him in the face with a fist. The suspect was subdued and placed under arrest.
