President Barack Obama’s tweet celebrating the Supreme Court’s decision to legalize same-sex marriage is the highest ranking political tweet of the year.

The results were calculated based on the number of retweets. According to Politico, @POTUS, Obama’s Twitter account, also claimed number two, three, seven, 16, 22 and 24 on the list of most popular political tweets.

The year proved that Twitter is no longer just a place to go scroll when there’s nothing else to do. Twitter has become a major campaigning tool with numerous presidential candidates taking to the little blue bird to share their thoughts and news.

Hilary Clinton’s tweet was one of them as her announcement that she would be running for president landed at number eight on the political tweets list.

TIME reports that Caitlyn Jenner’s tweet after her public reveal of her transition on Vanity Fair came in at number 10 for most popular overall tweet.

The top hashtags of the year included #LoveWins after the Supreme Court ruling, #BlackLiveMatters after many cases of police shooting African Americans all over the nation and #JeSuisFrance after November’s terrorist attack in France.

The number one most popular tweet of the year was from Harry Styles after the departure of fellow bandmate Zayn Malik from boy band One Direction.
