Center Military honors LGBT veterans at the annual wreath-laying at the grave of Technical Sgt. Leonard Matlovich in the LGBT section of Congressional Cemetery (1801 E St., S.E.) on Saturday, Nov. 11 at noon.

Sgt. Matlovich was a Vietnam veteran and the first openly gay service member. Local veteran and activist Frank Kameny will also be remembered. The ceremony will also honor the LGBT men and women who have served the U.S. as soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen and coast guardsmen.
