VelvetNation returns to Town for reunion party
Includes a live performance by the dance troupe Firm

VelvetNation, the once-popular dance party at now-defunct D.C. nightclub Nation, returns to Town (2009 8th St., N.W.) for a reunion dance party Saturday at 10 p.m.
The reunion party recreates everything Washingtonians loved about VelvetNation including a live performance by the Firm, the original dance troupe at Nation. A light show by John Niederhauser, the person responsible for lighting at Nation, and music from the era played by DJ Chris Cox, will complete the night. Drinks are $3 before11 p.m.
Cover is $8 from 10-11 p.m. and $12 after 11 p.m. For more information, visit towndc.com.
The annual CAMP Rehoboth fundraiser, SUNFESTIVAL, was held over Labor Day weekend in Rehoboth Beach, Del. The festival included a massive dance party at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center on Sunday.

Blade Foundation to host fundraiser in Rehoboth on Sept. 12
Mayor-elect Stewart, state Rep. Snyder-Hall to give remarks
The Washington Blade Foundation will host a fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 12 in Rehoboth Beach featuring remarks from Rehoboth’s Mayor-elect Susan Stewart and Delaware state Rep. Claire Snyder-Hall.
The Foundation funds fellowships for aspiring queer journalists and enterprise journalism projects.
The event will be held at a private home in Rehoboth. Tickets are $100 and include open bar from Diego’s, catered appetizers from the Blue Moon, entertainment, guest speakers, and an auction. Tickets are available here.
