Gay Day at the Zoo is Sunday — “international family equality day” — at the Smithsonian National Zoo (3001 Connecticut Ave., N.W.) from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

The event is free but several sponsorship levels are available that involve a variety of perks. T-shirts are available for pre-order for $15 at thedccenter.org.

WITT (Women in Their Twenties) will also have a scavenger hunt during the event at 1 p.m. Meet by the main entrance for details on that. More information at the WITT page on Facebook as well.
