The National Center for Transgender Equality hosts its 13th annual celebration at the Hamilton (600 14th St., N.W.) on Wednesday, May 18 at 6 p.m.

Marisa Richmond will receive the Julie Johnson Award, Arianna Lint will receive the Andy Cray Award and Rep. Mike Honda and Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen will be the recipients of the Ally Award. Transgender-focused film “Tangerine” will be honored with the Cultural Momentum Award. There will also be a keynote speaker that will be announced closer to the date. Tickets are $100. Victory Fund will hold its National Champagne Brunch at the Omni Shoreham Hotel (2500 Calvert St., N.W.) on Sunday, May 15 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Special guests will include Mayor Muriel Bowser, Angie Craig, Rep. Ruben Gallego, Denise Juneau, Hon. LaWana Mayfield and more. A special video message from Sen. Tammy Baldwin will also be shown in a tribute for Emily’s List, which will receive the President’s Award. Tickets are $250.
