Carpenter to play with NSO

Out organist Cameron Carpenter joins the National Symphony Orchestra to honor composers Leonard Bernstein and Aaron Copland at Kennedy Center (2700 F St., N.W.) on Thursday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 30 at 8 p.m.

Cristian Macelaru conducts the program combining Copland’s “Symphony for Organ and Orchestra” and “Appalachian Spring” suite with Bernstein’s “Divertimento.” The performance is part of the Kennedy Center’s Leonard Bernstein at 100 celebration. Tickets range from $15-89.
