The fifth annual Northern Virginia Pride Festival was held at the Bull Run Special Events Center in Centreville, Va. on Saturday, Sept. 29. Entertainment at NOVA Pride included Wicked Jezabel, Crys Matthews and Heather Mae. Speakers included advocate Karen K. Holmes, former Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D-Va.) and current Gov. The annual CAMP Rehoboth fundraiser, SUNFESTIVAL, was held over Labor Day weekend in Rehoboth Beach, Del. The festival included a massive dance party at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center on Sunday.

The Miss Gay Old Bay pageant was held at The Lodge in Boonsboro, Md. on Friday, Aug. 29. Vanya Varushka was crowned the winner. Glitter Douglas was named first runner-up. Both Varushka and Douglas qualify to compete in the Miss Gay Maryland pageant in October.
