The annual wreath laying for LGBT veterans is at Congressional Cemetery (1801 E St., S.E.) on Sunday, Nov. 11 at noon.

The ceremony will be held at the grave of Technical Sergeant Leonard Matlovich in the LGBT section of the cemetery. Sgt. Matlovich was a Vietnam veteran and in 1975 became the first service member to come out as gay. The annual wreath laying honors all LGBT individuals who have served in the U.S. as soldiers, sailors, marines, airmen and coast guardsmen.
